WEBQUEST-Adventure

  Suitable for students of secondary school. In order to close the unit called “Adventure” students will have to choose a place to visit, the elements needed to visit that place, the possible activities to do there and finally the changes that the place has undergone throughout time. They will have to look for the information needed to complete the task on the Internet and then create a presentation. WEBQUEST

  For students of secondary school:  after a reading comprehension activity they can create a word cloud with key words that will help them remember the key concepts that appear in the text. Infographic.

  A good and interesting option to introduce topics to students of 1st/2nd year of secondary school is through infographics. Flipped Classroom-

  Activity to work with students of 2nd and 3rd years of secondary school. A good idea would be to show students a short video about Natural disasters and let them infer what the topic is as an introductory activity.  Then the teacher can show some flashcards to introduce vocabulary. Innovation in learning technologies for English language teaching.

As an activity, we can suggest our students to interact with foreign students online. There are apps that let people chat with people belonging to a different country. The idea would be that users´native language should not be the same in order to look for a foreign language to communicate.  This activity can take place during class time or at school.   A teacher can give students a listening comprehension activity to solve at home. They will have a week to hand it in via e-mail.   It can be used with students of secondary school. The teacher will assign a book or a short story to read and will divide the students into groups. Each group will add information to the file as they read the chapters/sections.   Students of 2nd year of highschool can exchange e-mails with their classmates telling them about their routines, hobbies, favorite singer, etc. The idea is that every week the student should send an e-mail to a different classmate changing his/her profile (creating a different one, with different information).
